Suenita arrived in Canada a few years ago and was raising her family when Quinton was born with severe neurological problems that prevent him from developing normally. Quinton must be held by Suenita constantly to be comforted – he cannot leave her touch for more than a few moments. Suenita is trying her best to keep a very modest little home together with few furnishings and no time to provide for anything other than the all consuming care Quinton demands.
Deeds & Dreams learned of her plight from her family physician and we were able to step in and help out with some overdue utility bills and assistance to put some food on the table to take just a little of the worry away and provide a better home environment for everyone. We were also able to provide some additional support with travel expenses which allowed Suenita’s mother to make the long journey to assist with the day to day care of Quinton.
